Child Watch is Safe, Secure, and Fun! Members can get a workout in, enjoy a fitness class, swim, and even play some Pickleball, knowing their kids are having a great time at Y Child Watch.
Healthy parents are happy parents. Drop off your child in our supervised playroom while you take some time (up to two hours per time frame, per day) for yourself. This is a free member service for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old with a Kankakee Area Family Membership only. All participants must be active members in good standing and signed in/out of Child Watch by an active parent, grandparent, or legal guardian. Our childcare has multiple activities, crafts, etc., designed for appropriate age groups. All staff are trained in Safety, CPR, and First Aid. The parents must remain in the building and be able to be contacted by phone at all times in case of emergency.

- Labor Day – Memorial Day (Taking effect January 1, 2025)
- Monday – Saturday: 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM
- Monday – Friday: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Memorial Day – Labor Day
- Monday – Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Monday – Friday: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
